You have chosen to live in Hamilton County, Indiana, one of the safest counties in our nation. When crime and violence threaten our community it is an unwelcome intruder that can leave you feeling powerless against it’s attacks.
With a wife and four young boys that are actively involved in our community, I understand the need for a safe and worry-free environment where crime is not tolerated and our constitutional freedoms are upheld.

As your sheriff, I will expand our community policing efforts through advanced technology, partnerships with other agencies and support for community partners. These priorities will address the underlying conditions which cultivate crime and substance abuse. Stewarding Hamilton County's Tax Dollars
As a fiscally conservative republican, I also care about how our tax dollars are spent. In addition to a broad knowledge of law enforcement, the Sheriff of Hamilton County must also have the ability to manage an agency with a multi-million-dollar budget.
I grew up working for our family business, have worked in management in the corporate world and have started two small business in the community. I have also earned my master’s degree in business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. Sixteen years ago, I left a career in a corporation to pursue my passion of helping those in need. As a law enforcement officer for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, I have dedicated my life to lending a hand to the helpless and defending the weak.
For the last seven years I have served as your commander of the patrol division, leading a staff of over 60 full time deputies, administrative personnel, reserve and auxiliary officers.
The citizens of Hamilton County deserve a sheriff who is an experienced leader that will guide the sheriff’s office to passionately protect our citizens while increasing operational efficiencies and managing costs.
